Other Hiking Trails

The Kristberg, with its glorious view of the mountains in the Montafon is not only an excursion destination but it also offers a number of hiking trails that start at the Kristberg cable car mountain station.

For example, the popular family hike leads past the picturesque high moor over the Lobsteg to the comfortable destinations Hasahuesli and Restaurant Fellimaennle.  The subsequent hike follows the Litz River and passes the Teufelsbach or Devil’s Brook and ends up at the valley station at the Kristberg Cable Car Railway.

The hike to the back of the Silbertal for the more experienced rewards the hiker with a view of the Patteriol and offers the chance for extensive hikes and hut tours lasting several days in the Verwall region.

The hike to the neighbouring Klostertal over the Muttjoechle, in the direction of the Sonnenkopf is also recommended to every mountain hiker.  A somewhat longer route leads over Ganzalaeta and Falle to the Latons Pasture.  The view point at Rellseck also offers a chance to have a rest before the decent to Bartholomaeberg begins.

It isn’t only the hiker that can enjoy himself in this superb hiking region because the mountain peaks of the Verwall mountains like the Lobspitz and the Itonskopf, to name just a couple, can be reached by the ambitious mountain climber by starting at the ideal starting point – the Kristberg!
