Montjola

Schruns, the capital city of Montafon lies in a large valley inlet. The author and Nobel Prize winner, Ernest Hemingway spent a number of weeks here in 1925 and 1926. He wrote about his experiences in his work "The Snows of Kilimanjaro". Schruns has been touristically united with its neighbour Tschagguns since 2003. Together, they have a population of 6,500 with just as many guest beds.
