Franz Josef Battlogg, who was one of the original Alpinists and climbed Mount Vallüla 14 times including the first documented climb in 1866 said the following about the view from the mountain top:

“The whole of the inner Montafon with the regions of the Walgau in Vorarlberg all the way to the Rhine lie on an open plane. The Paznaun as well, and further, the Stanzer and Inn Valley where the snow capped Ischgl shimmers out of the dark forest, and you can count over a dozen church steeples.  It goes without saying that even though the view from Mount Vallüla isn‘t as wide as for example that of the Fluchthorn, it still has a change of moods with its soothing colours and shadows, so that trying to find anything like it would be impossible.“

The Zamangspitze, on the other hand had a bad reputation in those days and was said to be a place where witches danced. ¹ The following legend used to be told about it:
