The Devil's Round

by Theresa König last modified 2007-11-08 09:47

Near the Schlosswand in Vandans there is a rocky overhang which is called the Scheibenkopf because in the early days the young men would go there to cut rounds of wood.  When they cut a round they would often dedicate it to someone.  One day, one of the boys was cheeky enough to dedicate his round to the devil.  Soon after, a flaming pig came running out of a stall, grabbed the round and ran off.
