The Stable Butz
There was once a Herculean man in St. Anton named Blaesi. One New Year‘s Eve night there was a crowd of young men singing and dancing through the streets of Vandans. One of them dared to Blaesi to go down to the Batzawoerts stable. Blaesi said that he wasn‘t afraid and disappeared. Later he told the others what happened. When he got to the stable he opened the door and called out: “Hey Butz - if you are worth anything, come on out!” The ghost came as called, grabbed Blaesi by the neck and threw him on his back. He couldn‘t say what the ghost looked like but he got up and ran straight out of the stable and into the Ill river. When he got to the middle of the river he stopped and looked around. All he could see was a flickering light and then he heard a voice that said: “Leave the Vandans Butz alone and go back to St. Anton.” AudiofileP04-2_The Stable Butz.mp3 |
