The Gampadel Brook

by Theresa König last modified 2007-02-16 14:56

Dramatic floods and mud flows have defined the history of the people here since the 18th century. In 1910 a large portion of the district was covered by a mud flow. They had POW’s cultivate the land during WWII.In 1966 a small saw mill was destroyed and a number of houses were in danger of being destroyed. It was only with the deployment of heavy machinery that a catastrophe was avoided.
